DISRUPTING THE STATUS QUO
If you have no vision your organization will fail. If you have no idea how to execute the vision your idea or dream remains just that - an idea, with no tangible results. Organizational development (OD) focuses on improving an organizations capability through the alignment of strategy, structure, people, rewards, and management processes.
Research shows that businesses and organizations with the most diverse upper management have an operating profit margin of an average of 12.6 percentage points more than companies with the least diverse management. These groups work with more innovation, are more dynamic in their decision-making, more productive and stable. If you have not embraced this reality, you are already behind. 2021 analysis finds that companies in the top quartile of diversity on executive teams were 25 percent more likely to experience above-average profitability than peer companies in the fourth quartile. This is up from 21 percent in 2017 and 15 percent in 2014.

Leaders operate in demanding, fast-paced, high-stakes environments. They’re asked to think harder, solve tougher problems, and get more done than ever before. At the same time, they need to build relationships, connect with colleagues, build trust, mentor others, and have a poised leadership presence.

Executive coaching provides an opportunity for leaders to:

-
Collaborate with and confide in a trusted thought partner who is completely separate from the organizations measurement systems and politics
-
Consider, reflect on, and evaluate their leadership capabilities
-
Hear and respond to honest direct feedback
-
Create vision and plan for becoming even more effective as a leader
-
Consider and experiment with new perspectives, behaviors, and options
-
Explore and understand setbacks
-
Develop strategies to stay on track
